Dropper bottles are great for dispensing your oils because they give you a lot of control over how much oil you’re dispensing. This is important because you don’t want to dispense too much, but I also helps you to follow recipes and adapt your oils to what works best for you and your family.
You want to use a glass bottle and a glass dropper. Not only do these protect your oil best, because you won’t have plastics leaching into the oil, but they also prevent corrosion — some oils are so powerful that they can actually eat away at a plastic bottle. It’s also important that your glass bottle is either amber or cobalt — those are the colors that best protect your oil from light that can damage your oil.
Don’t have a dropper bottle? Ask the member who enrolled you where they got theirs. Many members carry extras that you can purchase or can direct you to where you can buy the bottles locally or online. Until you get a dropper, you can measure your oil with a spoon: To dilute an essential oil in a carrier oil, you usually only need 1/8 to ½ teaspoon of carrier oil with just a drop or two of essential oil.
